How to make the ripped jeans full tutorial here! (Please pin this) 1. Draw a line half and inch above the bottom of your knee cap and a line 4-5 inches below that line. (Those with be the top and bottom of the hole.) 2. Take a steak knife and just cut across those lines (make sure to not cut the back of the pants) (scissors with make the line to perfect and unnatural looking but still looks fine) 3. To make it easier cut a line right in between the middle of those lines 4. Now grab your tweezers and start pulling out the vertical threads (INFO READ ALL) fabric prices go strait horizontal and vertical so what your doing is pulling out all the vertical prices which makes it so there’s only horizontal pieces which gives it the ripped effect. It will be harder at the beginning because the fabrics so tightly knit but it will get easier once you pull the first few out. (IMPORTANT) try not to pull out to much horizontal threads because if you rip it there will be less left after. (5:35 now watch this part so i don’t gotta keep yapping) THEN YOUR FINISHED! Good job 🎉🎉

When starting to sew do you start from the edge of the cloth in or about 2 cm in and back stitch to the edge then forward?

I seem to be struggling measuring the neck and doing the math part to line up and sew the neck. Since these are patterns, is there somewhere with the correct measurements on the neck for size L?

As someone with 25 years of sewing experience, who went to school for fashion design, I want to say that this is an excellent video. You covered a ton of material succinctly and didn't skimp on the construction techniques necessary to make these pants last. The only thing I could find to even slightly disagree with was the asymmetrical button placement on the cargo pocket flap, and that's purely a personal aesthetic preference. I fully recognize that your placement follows function more, with the pleat. I will definitely be following your channel to keep up with your work. I didn't expect to watch the whole video because I know how to draft a pattern for pants and construct them, but it was such a good video that it was satisfying to watch.
